The Sports guys here in Canuckistan are just livid over the NHL’s actions in this case.

The problem is that the Commissioner of the NHL is a dork named Gary Bettman and he has a grudge against Rim Jim.

Seeing how Jim is offering about $80m more than anyone else to buy the Coyotes, it will be interesting to watch the fallout of teh sale.

For what it’s worth they probably made the claim because they had no other way of saying “No, thanks.” That is, a poison pill clause as in a contract that allows the wiley contractor to get out of the contract under any (however contrived) circumstances.
Why No thanks? Beats me. It’s just a game.

They could just as well said they didn’t like “the look of him”.

If Mr. Balsillie needs any help working through these trying times please let him know I’ll be there for him, waiting near the phone.
