Maybe Its Not So Lucky
I don't mean to draw too much from a cutsie human interest story, but the Freakonomics Blog links an article in the Chicago Tribune about a guy who claims to have found 160,000 four-leafed clovers. My only real take was that maybe they really aren't very lucky, since the previous record-holder recently died in prison.

We had several patches in my parents lawn that produced numerous four-leaf clovers. Had I known that people were keeping count, I could have been well on my way to being the NEXT unlucky clover-holder.

How much time is required for collecting or even counting 160,000 clovers? I can understand the previous record holder - a life sentence without parole leaves a lot of time on one's hands. But if you've got the chance to have a life, it seems to me extraordinarly silly to spend it doing something like this.
