The Democrats were ridiculing this idea, with the press piling on of course. That was when I got a 3x5 card from some anti-tax group that they called "Democrats Simplified Tax Form" and included two lines: "1. How much did you earn?" and "2. Mail it in." with the address of the IRS.</p> <p>BTW, that was also the year when I, in fact, did do my income taxes on a postcard. I kept one of those cards all these years to remind me (and others) how easy it really could be.
