Interesting read about your experience. Great idea too for those older folks and for those who might want to curl up with a good 'blog'.

I had great luck with Lulu recently too. I uploaded a book my Mom had written (non-fiction biz book) and within 5 days got the book and it was perfect - the cover, the printing, etc.

I just hope they keep improving.
I tried tho to click the link to your book and got nada. Are you no longer selling it?

If you did all the work (copying the blog content into the template, formatting, editing etc) then why did you not take a printout of the book yourself? Wouldn't it have been cheaper and more satisfying since you control more of the aspects?

You probably already did this but since you did not mention it explicitly I am assuming you didn't. Why didn't you list all the URIs linked to in a post at the end of that post? The links in the post itself could have been annotated with a number that pointed to the actual URI in the post-end listing.

I'm working on a few projects myself that *might* be printed (or more likely will be made into PDFs that people can then choose to print -- we're talking two or three family cookbooks [my wife's family, I get suckered into strange things] and technical documentation). In the last few days I've run into Lulu, and I've been wondering how they work.
